¡Please Help Andy!

Thirteen year old Andy is in desperate need of a heart transplant in order to live and we need your immediate help, please. Your donation of any amount can help us reach our minimum goal of $800,000 to have Andy transported to University of Florida’s Congenital Heart Center in Gainesville to begin his preparation for transplant. Andy’s Story: Andy, who is from the Dominican Republic, was born with Congenital Heart Disease. At the tender age of three, Andy entered our lives when Gift of Life of NJ, Inc. helped fund two different life-saving open heart surgeries here in the states. Thanks to a team of devoted people, Andy received the medical treatment needed to help him live a healthier, happier life with his parents and 2 sisters.

Today, Andy and his mother are in Health City Hospital in the Cayman Islands since his fourth open heart surgery on September 15th when Doctors successfully replaced his Mitral Valve. Post-surgery, Doctors believed it would be the final surgery to his already long journey, but Andy developed complications and had to be placed on a heart lung bypass machine called ECMO in order to live. At this writing, over 100 days on ECMO, Andy has surpassed survival expectations while beating sepsis, kidney failure and even death. However, each day becomes more critical and the need to transport him to Florida becomes more urgent. Andy is an amazing boy who touches everyone he meets.
